Ski and Cheap are usually not words that you see together, but thanks to Waterville Valley, there’s a day you can do just that, Ski Cheap. This St. Patrick’s day skiing deal is a great way to save. (Let’s keep our fingers crossed the snow up there lasts!)
St. Patrick’s day skiing deal info:
Every can have the luck ‘o the Irish and ski for just $17 on St. Patrick’s Day (or Evacuation day for those in Boston).
My family has gone to Waterville Valley and it’s really a great spot. Whether you’re looking to challenge the kids a bit on some longer blue squares or you like to ski the black diamonds and bumps–they’ve got it all. Even when the parking lots and ski racks are overflowing, you don’t feel crowded on the mountain and the lines are short and/or fast.
I also highly recommend the Schwendii Hut at the top of the mountain for lunch or a snack. It’s not cheap (but what ski resort food is?), but its made to order, delicious food. You could easily share an order of Mac & Cheese for less than a couple of burgers and fries at the bottom of the mountain. It closes around 2:00 though, so don’t go too late.
