On Tuesday, August 23 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Boston Parks and Recreation Department are hosting the 2016 ParkARTS Boston Children’s Festival at Franklin Park in Dorchester.
Children and families can take part in a variety of free activities including Cambridge Science on the Street, a show by Rosalita’s Puppets, ParkARTS arts and crafts, the Bubble Guy, ReadBoston Storymobile, Mass Hort, Boston Children’s Museum, New England Aquarium, and more.
There will also book giveaways from the ReadBoston Storymobile, the chance to explore a Boston Fire Department fire truck, identification kits from the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department, a visit from the Boston Park Rangers Mounted Unit, face painting, dance performances, and free treats and giveaways from HP Hood, Polar Beverages, the movie “Storks,” and Magic 106.7.
The festival will be on Pierpont Road off Circuit Drive, near the back entrance of the Franklin Park Zoo. You can find more information here
