Lawn on D Opening Celebration

Boston’s one-of-a-kind outdoor interactive space, The Lawn On D is preparing to open for the summer, and boy have they got some fun Lawn on D Opening Celebration activities.

Lawn on D Opening Celebration Schedule:

On Saturday May 13th from noon to 5:00 pm is the big day. There will be free activities and entertainment for the whole family! (NOTE: Rain date is May 14th) Check out the schedule below:

Signature Pavilion & Signature Lawn
- 12:00 pm – 5:00 PM: Museum of Fine Arts, Boston – Stories in Art
- 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Boston Tea Party Ships: Colonial Games
- 12:30 pm: ReadBoston – ReadBoston’s Storymobile is a one-of-a-kind summer program that brings a diverse group of professional storytellers and new books to children, ages 3-10, in every Boston neighborhood.
- 1:30 pm: Puppet Showplace Theatre
- 2:30 pm: Matt Heaton and the Outside Toys: a mix of rockabilly, surf, american roots and Irish traditional music, delivered with a wry sense of humor and a sincere sense of fun.
- 3:30 pm: ReadBoston
- 4:30 pm: Puppet Theatre
Pavilion On D
- 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Steel Rhythm – this steel drum band will sweep you away to an island oasis as they delight you with sounds of the Caribbean.
Main Lawn
- 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Knucklebones Playspace – athletically inspired entertainment for children of all ages
- 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm: New England Aquarium – Traveling Tidepool Program
- 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm: Nimble Arts Performance – A stunning display of circus arts featuring aerials, juggling, balancing, comedy, and more! Their ensemble includes performers formerly with Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize, Circa, Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey & Pickle Family Circus.
Lawn Stage
- 6:00 pm – 6:45 pm: Analog Heart – a vocal powerhouse, guitar-driven, genre-colliding rock and roll band from New England.
- 7:00 pm – 7:45 pm: MB Padfield – a local, award-winning alternative singer/songwriter and loop artist.
- 8:00 pm -9:00 pm: Never in Vegas – this fan favorite returns to The Lawn On D! Never in Vegas is New England’s premier high energy live rock and pop band.
- 9:30 pm – 10:30 pm: Federator No1 – this 14 piece positive groove band brings together afrobeat and afro-dance music in an exceptional live experience.
