On Saturday, November 12th, USA Hockey and 500 local associations across the country will host Try Hockey For Free Day. Participating locations encourage kids, ages 4 to 9, to come try youth hockey as part of Come Play Hockey Month.
How can your kids try hockey FREE?
All locations will have limited equipment available for use and registration is required. You can get more information and register here. There are about 10 locations around Boston and several in the suburbs as well participating in this program.
USA Hockey was founded in 1937, in New York City. The organization was originally known as the Amateur Hockey Association of the United States (AHAUS). It was changed to USA Hockey in 1991.
USA Hockey’s primary emphasis is on the support and development of grassroots hockey programs. It launched a cutting-edge American Development Model in January 2009. This provides associations nationwide with a blueprint for age-appropriate athlete development.
