Do you like watching movies but hate paying high prices to Netflix or forgetting to return your dvds to Redbox? If so, Hoopla is for you. Get FREE movie rentals using just your library card.
How can you get FREE movie rentals?
Hoopla offers thousands of movies, television shows, audiobooks, eBooks, comics and full music albums available for library patrons to stream on their mobile device or PC. From Hollywood blockbusters to best selling artists and authors – not just the hits, but the niche and hard-to-find as well.
Movie and TV content is available for 72 hours (3 days) after borrowing. Music albums are available for 7 days, and eBooks, comics and audiobooks are available for 21 days.
Local participating libraries include Boston, Framingham, Newton, Brookline, Goodnow, Wayland, Concord, Lincoln, Wellesley, Burlington, and Arlington. You can search for other libraries here. You must have a library card/PIN number from your local library that offers hoopla. Not all libraries require a PIN number, so please check with your local library.
You can find more information or sign up here.
Locally, the Boston Public Library network of libraries also participate in the Hoopla program.
Thank you. Not sure how I missed that one! I’ll add it now.
