Like to fish a bit, but not worth it for you to get a license? This weekend is your chance to do some relaxing by the water for FREE, and if you’re lucky, catch some dinner. June 4-12 is National Fishing and Boating week, and June 4 and 5 are the two days you can fish FREE in freshwater and June 18 and 19 are the two days you can fish FREE in saltwater in Massachusetts. FREE days vary by state, you can get every state’s dates here.
This is also a great chance to let your kids try fishing. Kids under 15 don’t need a license, but depending on how much you help them, you might, but not on FREE fishing day.
