The annual Jimmy Fund Scooper Bowl is finally here. This Largest All-You-Can-Eat Ice Cream festival runs June 7th – 9th from noon to 8:00pm at City Hall Plaza.
Here’s the info you need to know about the Scooper Bowl:
Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for kids (and there are group and multi pass discounts) when purchased online here (prices will be higher at the door). Tough to beat those prices for all you can eat ice cream. Plus, 88 cents of every dollar goes to the Jimmy Fund and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. This year’s goal is $375,000 and to date, they’ve raised more than $5 million dollars since beginning in 1983.
This year’s flavors include:
Baskin Robbins‘ Golden OREO’n Churro , Ben & Jerry’s The Tonight Dough Starring Jimmy Fallon, Friendly’s Hunka Chunka PB Fudge, Yuengling’s Ice Cream’s Butterbeer, Hood Snickerdoodle Dandy and 50 more–YUM!
Interestingly, all ice cream companies donate all the ice cream, labor, scoopers, and products needed to make the event happen each year. Though they are competitors for 51 weeks of the year, during the first week of June they come together to create an event that is now known as the “unofficial start of summer” in New England.
