Curious George’s 75th Birthday Bash

The world’s most adored & curious monkey is turning 75 so The World’s Only Curious George Store is hosting a huge bash and everyone is invited to “swing” by to meet & wish George a Happy Birthday! The party is Saturday September 17 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

Children will enjoy games, activities and arts & crafts. Guests are encouraged to bring a gift of a new toy or book to the birthday bash which will be donated to Cambridge Family & Children’s Service (CFCS) whose mission is to strengthen & support families so that their children can be raised in loving & nurturing homes, within communities that support them. CFCS is one of the oldest human services agencies in Greater Boston. Founded in 1873 as the Avon Home, an orphanage for local children, CFCS has a long and distinguished history of serving children, adolescents and families in the Cambridge area and in Greater Boston and its suburbs.

Curious George’s Birthday Party Schedule:

• 2:30: Special guest, Mayor Simmons will present a proclamation declaring September 17th, 2016 “Curious George Day” in the City of Cambridge.
• 3:00: You can  join in on singing Happy Birthday. There will also be birthday cake & cookies compliments of The Charles Hotel and chunky monkey ice cream compliments of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream of Harvard Square. In addition, there will be bananas and chocolate dipping sauce for all to enjoy.
• Throughout event: Meet & Greet with Curious George himself
