Sure, the falling leaves, shorter days and crisp morning air are signs of winter fast approaching. Another harbinger of winter in the Boston area – the annual Boston.com Ski and Snowboard Expo held at the Seaport World Trade Center November 9 through November 12. This show features exhibitors representing dozens of ski resorts – most from the Northeast as well as a healthy sample from other areas of the U.S., and around the world. In addition to resorts, manufacturers and retailers of winter sports equipment – clothing, goggles, helmets, boots, poles, skis – you name it – are on hand to show off and of course sell their wares.
Skiing has a well-deserved reputation as pricey pastime, yet the Boston.com Ski and Snowboard Expo offers opportunities to save some significant money. Resorts will offer show-only discounted lift tickets and lodging packages, plus there’s a huge sale of ski and snowboard equipment – with savings up to 70%. Plenty of freebies are up for grabs – food and drink samples, as well as stickers, posters and other resort shwag. Plus, there will be chances to score free t-shirts and lift tickets.
There’s entertainment that should appeal to kids – a trampoline show, a fitness obstacle course area, a high-energy fashion show and an indoor slope simulator, to name a few.
Kids under 12 are admitted free and discounted admission is available. To get the latest updates and discount info, register for email blasts here.
